For those who wish to become Catholic or to deepen their knowledge of their faith. This is a structured weekly series of talks and discussion, covering all the aspects of our faith. It concentrates on the Scripture, the Sacraments, Prayer and Spiritual Life, our Moral Life, the teaching of the Church and the structure of the Church. The Catechism of the Catholic Church and the teaching of the Popes on many questions that arise in our Christian living.

No previous knowledge of the Catholic faith is needed. The course is for anyone who feels a genuine need to grow in their understanding of the Lord.

The first session will be in the second week of October. Sister Kevina picks the time most suitable to those who apply to join. You might like to contact her on her e-mail address on page 2 of this guide, or have a word with her after Mass.

confirmation-1The Sacrament of Confirmation

There may be some of you who, for whatever reason, have not yet received this wonderful sacrament. Bernard, the Assistant Chaplain, runs a weekly series of preparatory talks/discussion for those who wish to prepare for this sacrament. The Bishop of Salford (our Bishop), comes in February for the Sunday evening Mass, during which he confers this sacrament.

Should you wish to receive the Holy Spirit of Confirmation, simply contact Bernard on his e-mail address, or have a word with him after Mass.

CaFE (Catholic Faith Exploration)

A series of six Thursday evenings, starting on Thursday 14 October AT 7.00 pm

The session lasts for two hours including a full hot meal and a video presentation with discussion. You will be away by 9.00 p.m.

The course covers a comprehensive overview of our belief as Catholics with explanations and insights.
